Fashion: New York Fashion Week’s Top Ten Models
From The Cut: This Fashion Week saw the rise of an entirely new class of models. In fact, seven out of ten of last season's top models dropped off the list completely. Leading the newcomers' brigade was Danish model Caroline Brasch Nielsen, who scored the opening looks for Narciso Rodriguez and Thakoon, on top of her opening and closing slots at Herve Leger. Julija Step — fresh off her Balenciaga print ads — also made quite the mark this season when she opened for Rodarte, Max Azria, and Jill Stuart. And after two seasons of working exclusively for Miu Miu and Givenchy, 14-year-old Daphne Groeneveld hit New York's shows when she opened for Calvin Klein — exclusively, natch. As impressive as those stats may be, Karlie Kloss emerged as the week's runway queen. The modern-day supermodel opened and closed for Oscar de la Renta and Donna Karan; Kloss also had the final look at Carolina Herrera, Tommy Hilfiger, and Jason Wu.
