The Great Gatsby

Like many of you out there, I have long adored the stories of Scott F. Fitzgerald. In particular, "The Great Gatsby". I even adored the 1974 movie version starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow, and so I was pleasantly surprised to learn there was an updated version to be release by the visionary director, Baz Luhrmann. And now we have a first glimpse at what to expect:

L.A. Story

After 10+ years in my beloved NYC, I am starting a new adventure on the west coast, (Los Angeles to be exact). I will always consider myself a bi-coastal person, so while New York will always be near & dear, I can't wait to explore a whole new city. Any tips, my California friends? "I love Los Angeles. MCA: Passing of a Beastie Boy

There is not bar or radio station in New York (& beyond) today that is not playing the classic sounds of the Beastie Boys. With the passing of BB founder Adam Yauch, aka MCA, those of us who grew up with his rhymes are mourning a part of our youth as well. "You got to Brooklyn. Sleep peacefully, MCA."
