I was recently shown this trailer for the documentary "Miss Representation" and it spoke to so many of my frustrations when it comes to how women are represented in media, and the dangerous false messages sent to our youth. Intelligence, ambition, curiosity and confidence should be inspired in young women everywhere, and of course, it is (sadly) often not. The documentary Miss Representation, by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, explores how the media’s misrepresentations of women have led to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence.
