With the French Open currently underway, tennis star Venus Williams continues to raise a lot of eyebrow raises when it comes to her fashion on the court. In a recent interview, V dished on the how the outfits for her line EleVen come about. "During the design process I'm nervous about, okay, is that going to move and get in the way of my racquet? So when the dress comes and it doesn't, then I'm excited. I try to represent what I think my personality is on the court. The second part is sometimes you just dream it up. Sometimes you can see a dress and say, Hey, I really like those slits, so let me put that in my tennis dress. Or I'm dying to do lace. How can we do that on the court and make it work?" She even touched on that risqué outfit that caused a commotion off the court during the French Open: "Lace has never been done before in tennis, and I've been wanting to do it for a long time. So finally, you know, I've done lace. It's fun to wear, obviously. For me, it's fun to design something that seems to be so successful."

Now that Tyra Banks has re-signed with her modeling agency, what better way to celebrate than with a photo shoot paying homage to Alexander McQueen? Said Banks: "McQueen was considered royalty in the fashion community. I feel like a queen whenever I wear his clothes (especially the stunning blue dress I wore for this shoot)! I hope that you like the royal tribute that André and I (and lil' Gianni too!) put together for him! It’s old royal fashion meets new royal looks designed by fashion royalty. McQueen had a flare for the dramatic and a love for fantasy. I would like to think that he would have loved these photos."
Milla Jovavich is looking fierce (& wearing an amazing hat by Philip Treacy) as the new face of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet campaign, which is very high fashion for a car ad. The model/actress said of her new role: "I've never worked with a car as a co-star in a campaign. The challenge is that I don't let the E-Class Cabriolet steal the show. So I must make an effort." The imagery of the campaign is taking an unusually playful and surreal - true to the motto, "Express your Style."

One of our faves, the beautiful & clever Salma Hayek, looks amazing as InStyle's June covergirl. We love how she speaks her mind, so here are some highlights: On plastic surgery:"No surgical tweaks. No botox either. I think it's terrible, these girls in their late 20's injecting their faces and lips." On being a mother: "Everything becomes about the baby. You are in second position, or third." On her hubby:"I ridiculously love him. He makes it easy for me. He's so open, and his family is too. I only speak French to his children. I don't know how, but they understand my French!"

If you are already a fan of the artist known as Banksy, then you have no doubt heard of his new film "Exit Through the Gift Shop". But the question remains: Is it real? The film itself was a sensation at the Sundance Film Festival this year, and at the Berlin International Film Festival in February, he called a news conference, only to cancel it at the last minute and show a video, in which he appears in shadows (true to form), cloaked in a hoodie and with his voice disguised, as he does in the film, to vouch for its veracity. The thing is, both Banksy and Mr. Guetta (the lead subject) are pretty unreliable narrators, and the immediate thought was that Mr. Guetta either didn’t exist at all, that he was in cahoots with Banksy or that he was Banksy himself. Even aficionados of the scene were unsure what to think. As one street-art-enthusiast observer noted: “It is one of these cases where Banksy has found in his art that truth is stranger than the best fiction you can imagine.”
The new ads for Chanel's Coco Cocoon handbags have been released featuring Johnny Depp's equally talented wife, Vanessa Paradis, which is a vast improvement from Lily Allen (Sorry Lily...but stick to music ;)

"Sex and the City 2" madness continues with yet another product attached to the franchise — the official "Sex and the City 2" book. The photo-driven tome, which will be released May 18 in both paperback ($19.95) and as a hardcover deluxe edition ($29.95), features a 2-D tour of the movie-making process, with behind-the-scenes stories from writer and director Michael Patrick King and Sarah Jessica Parker, as well as Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. Every single look that Carrie wears in the movie is detailed in the 500-page book that includes commentary by Parker herself. And if that weren't in-depth enough, each item of clothing is labeled with its brand. A must for veteran "SATC" junkies.
