At first it was just speculation, but today it has been confirmed that SATC's Sarah Jessica Parker will indeed be taking an "active design role" at Halston in regards to their newly-launched (and lower-priced) Heritage collection. Considering her past success with her own affordable fashion, Bitten ("Fashion is Not a Luxury") this may be a good fit, even if she had told WWD that she'd passed on a lot of high-fashion collaborations in the past because she "had no business" even thinking about some of them. "I can’t sketch; I can’t drape." We'll see!
