The 2010 Winter Olympics are almost upon us, in beautiful Vancouver! With the Canadian teams stylishly clad by the Hudson's Bay Company, and Stephen Colbert getting much attention for taking over the sponsorship (and therefore the gear) of the US speedskating team, it is time to announce some other fashionable Olympic designers. Ralph Lauren has been announced as the official Olympic "parade outfitter" for all the United States athletes, and Vera Wang will be creating the competitive figure skating outfits, which is fitting because at one time, she wore them! Yes, Wang used to be a figure skater back in her youth who tried out for the national championships and earned a spot in the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame thanks to her costumes.
