Music Mondays: Movie Soundtracks

After watching the fun new movie, Pirate Radio, an homage to 60's rock&roll and boasting a killer soundtrack, it seemed a good idea to explore other movies with great soundtracks too. (We will be skipping soundtracks with original scores, ditto with show tunes. Sorry "Sound of Music".) The web is full of "best of" lists but as with movies, there are the "best" (critical darlings) and then there are the "nostalgic." Narrowing it down is nearly an impossible task, so below are just a few samples from superb soundtracks, with a special nod to Director's Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino & Sofia Coppola for consistent amazing musical taste.
